POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd was with the PCSO Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit on the scene of an animal cruelty investigation in Frostproof earlier this evening.

Preliminary information: there are approximately 100 cats and 100 chickens and ducks inside a mobile home where two women live, in a hoarder situation.

“The investigation has just begun,” said Judd. “Over 200 animals were neglected at best, or abused at worst.”
