PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A 40-year-old Spring Hill man was killed in a crash that happened around 6:15 am on Wednesday.

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 40-year-old Spring Hill man was killed in a crash that happened around 6:15 am on Wednesday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a pickup truck eastbound on Saint Joe Road, east of I-75, in inclement weather.

Troopers say, traveling too fast for conditions, the man lost control of the Ford Ranger which departed the roadway and collided with a tree.

The driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, according to troopers.
