TAMPA, Fla - Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at the 10000 block of N. Dixon Ave at 11:30 pm on Tuesday.

TAMPA, Fla – Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at the 10000 block of N. Dixon Ave at 11:30 pm on Tuesday.

According to fire officials, crews found a single-story residential home, 80% involved with heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

The fire was under control within 15 minutes.

“A primary and secondary search was completed. One victim was recovered from the structure, unable to escape their home, and unfortunately succumbed to injuries relating to the fire,” said Tampa Fire Rescue.

Investigators from Tampa Fire Rescue, the State Fire Marshal’s Office, and Tampa Police Dept. are investigating the fire’s cause. No other injuries are reported.
