A 41-year-old Florida man was arrested Wednesday for hitting and kicking Deputies after they found him sleeping in a bush.

A 41-year-old Florida man was arrested Wednesday for hitting and kicking Deputies after they found him sleeping in a bush.

Joshua William Stanley, 41, of Marathon Key, was charged with battery, resisting arrest, and making threats.

Stanley was found sleeping in a bush in Marathon near 53rd Street at approximately 3:38 a.m. He had a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Stanley was taken to Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon after he injured his head by banging it against a patrol car partition. He hit, kicked, and head-butted Deputies as they attempted to take him from the car to the hospital and back.

He also threatened to kill Deputies.

Stanley was arrested and booked into the Monroe County Jail on a $120,000 bond.
