CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue are on the scene of a pedestrian-involved crash this morning.

Police say the call came in just before 7:30 a.m.

According to investigators, a pedestrian was struck in the westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard just east of Old Coachman Road.

“The pedestrian sustained possible life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital,” said authorities.

Westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay are closed from U.S. 19 to Old Coachman Road. Drivers should avoid that area for the next several hours.
