PLANT CITY, Fla. – A Plant City man was killed in an early morning crash that happened around 2:00 am on Thursday, according to police.

The Plant City Police Department received a 911 call about a single-vehicle traffic crash that happened in the 3500 block of W. Hwy. 574.

Police say that it was determined that an eastbound 2004 white Ford F-150, for an unknown reason, had driven from the roadway to the south and collided with a metal guardrail system.

The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries in the crash and died at the crash scene. The driver was a 31-year-old Hispanic male residing in Plant City, according to police.
