Detectives Investigate An Apparent Murder-Suicide In Dunedin

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL. – On February 9, 2022, at approximately 9:35 a.m., deputies responded to Lake Haven Mobile Home Park located at 1415 Main Street, Lot 235, in Dunedin, for a welfare check.

Neighbors reported the residents had not been seen in a few days.

Once deputies arrived on the scene and forced entry into the home due to suspicious circumstances.

Detectives say once deputies entered the home, they located 73-year-old Frances (Darlene) Neubert deceased in the front portion of the home.

Deputies also located 51-year-old Jeffrey Dinyer deceased in the rear bedroom with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Detectives believe Dinyer murdered Neubert and then took his own life.

An autopsy will be conducted and the Medical Examiner’s Office will work to determine the cause and manner of death.

Next of kin has been notified. The investigation continues and we will update this story when more details are released.
