The number of Florida hospital inpatients with COVID-19 declined Wednesday according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The data posted on Wednesday shows 7,129 Florida inpatients had COVID-19, down from 7,420 on Tuesday and down from 7,316 on Monday.

The updated numbers released on Wednesday also show that 1,109 patients with COVID-19 were in intensive-care units (ICU), down from 1,147 on Tuesday.

According to data from the CDC, cases in Florida dropped from 20,071 on February 1 to 19,306 on February 8 with 2 deaths reported on Tuesday.
