ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – An 83-year-old woman was killed in a St. Pete collision Sunday afternoon, according to police.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., a Town and Country minivan traveling westbound on the Pinellas Bayway South attempted to turn south at Leeland St. South.

Police say the van turned in front of an eastbound Toyota Tundra and they collided in the intersection.

An 83-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the van, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She died from her injuries several hours later.

No one else was injured. The crash is still under investigation.
