PASCO COUNTY, FL. – A 65-year-old New Port Richey woman escaped injury after crashing through a home in reverse on Saturday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevy Avalanche, was parked in the driveway of 6823 Willits Avenue when the 65-year-old woman began to travel in reverse.

Depressing the gas pedal rather than the brake, the vehicle traveled across the roadway and collided with
an unoccupied residence located at 6822 Willits Avenue, coming to final rest inside the structure.

Troopers say the woman was uninjured in the crash.
