ST. PETERESBURG, Fla. – A St. Pete woman was stabbed Tuesday morning and hospitalized, according to police.

At 8:50 a.m., police responded to a stabbing at a home at 2330 49th Street South. A 53-year-old woman was found stabbed and transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The latest update says the woman is in critical but stable condition.

Police say that her son, Jabari Kalonji, 27, is charged with attempted first degree murder.
