TAMPA, FL. – A 37-year-old Tampa man was killed overnight in a crash that happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was traveling eastbound on I-4, just east of I-75, at a high rate of speed. Troopers say the man overtook and collided with the rear of another vehicle, also traveling eastbound on I-4.
The man’s car was redirected to the south shoulder of the roadway and collided with a tree. Troopers ay the Tampa man was transported to a local hospital but died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The vehichle that was rear ended rotated came to a stop on the outside eastbound lane., the driver was uninjured.
