TAMPA, Fla. – A 41-year-old Tampa woman was killed Thursday in a crash on I-75, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say, the woman was traveling southbound on I-75 approaching I-4 and lost control of her car. 

The car departed the roadway, entered the west shoulder, collided with a light pole, and crashed into a highway road sign. 

Investigators say the woman suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

Lanes of I-75 were closed earlier but all lanes have since reopened.
