PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Two 5-year-old children were struck by a car on Halloween night, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.
The collision occurred at 52nd St. N. and 80th Terrace, according to the police, just before 8:30 p.m.
Through the investigation, it was determined the driver of the Hyundai was traveling south on 52nd St N, approaching 80th Ter N, when two juveniles darted across the roadway. The Gray Hyundai Kona struck the juveniles with the front of the vehicle as the juveniles were crossing east to west, midblock.

Both children were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver stayed at the scene and speed and impairment are not factors in the crash.
