An 18-year-old Florida man was charged with a cold-blooded killing caught on security camera.
According to deputies, on March 16, 2023, at approximately 10:52 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at the Restaurant Depot at 17751 South Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers.
Deputies heard gunshots outside as they arrived at the business. Shortly after, they located a man lying on the ground who had been shot multiple times.

The suspect standing nearby was identified as 18-year-old Jancarlos Lizardi Rosado.
Deputies detained Rosado and secured the scene.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation.
“I’m disgusted by this senseless murder. My deputies ran toward the sound of gunfire to prevent any more tragedy,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “I’m proud of my patrol deputies and detectives for swiftly taking this killer into custody and bringing him to justice!”

Detectives spoke to several witnesses and established that the shooting was unrelated to the business.
Based on the evidence gathered throughout the span of their investigation, detectives arrested Jancarlos Lizardi Rosado for second-degree murder.
Rosado is currently in custody at the Lee County Jail.
